Many organisations have invested in lots of different BI tools from lots of different vendors in order to satisfy their varying departmental objectives. However, this kind of set-up creates a number of problems including:
- Fragmented and inconsistent data spread throughout the entire organisation in multiple data sources
- Increasing costs to support, maintain and run training for multiple software tools
- Frustrated users who cannot access accurate and timely information.
This is precisely the reason why these companies should look to consolidate their BI tools. In this presentation, we discuss the importance of consolidation and the benefits which can be achieved. We use Oracle’s BI EE Suite as an example of a solution which can eliminate the pitfalls associated with implementing best-of-breed solutions.
