The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) is the statutory body responsible for the regulation of the electronic communications sector (telecommunications, radio communications and broadcasting transmission) and the postal sector in Ireland. They are the national regulatory authority for these sectors in accordance with EU law which is subsequently transposed into Irish legislation.

Irish Life had a complex and time consuming system for cost allocations that was completed manually through spreadsheets each month. The main requirement was to accelerate this process, give it greater detail and a more consistent approach.
Using an existing OFA application, SolStonePlus examined the business processes used and implemented an approach that met all the above requirements, bringing the allocation times down from days to seconds.

UK Government Agency Case Study

In early 2006, SolstonePlus were contracted through LogicaCMG to design and provide a Management Information System for a UK Government Agency. At the time, their current Management Information was compiled on a quarterly basis through a very manually intensive process and issued on an Excel spreadsheet that was at the limit of what it was capable of delivering, both technically and physically. The agency had very clear ideas about what it wanted to achieve and the delivery method was governed by the standard practices adopted by the agency.
